Latest News(08/09/06)

Dear People. Recently Last Nation drummer Tedd has been involved in a serious driving accident resulting in all gigs

being cancelled this year. So please stay tuned for the updates in terms of live performances.

Right now the band is working from home in London producing stuff for corporate tv/films as well as writing new material.

(06/08/06):

On sunday the 5th of August Last Nation played their first outdoor gig at the Bacton Fayre under Stowmarket.

We would like to thank PJM Promotions for organising the event and giving Last Nation very warm welcome and support.

Last Nation also managed to shoot more footage on that day for video editing resulting in Burger video song now being done.

You can view the video in Music section on this site or on our myspace account.

(29/06/06):

Last Nation's gig at the Buffolo Bar on wed 28th turned up to be really great evening. The band really rocked the stage and

crowd with new favourites: Burger,Southern Ladies,Hate as well as aggregating explosion with Disco fever at the end.

Not to mention the infamous Kolosov dance which is slowly but surely picking up london's recognition and new followers.

It was great to see so many people turning up for the gig including members from Magic Numbers.

Next gig in London are set to be on saturday the 15th of july at the London's legendary Barfly venue.

(22/05/06):

Last Nation have been featured on the Band Of The Day music website on the 23/05/06.

Also 'Disco Fever' has been chosen as one of Hot Trax for 29 May  -  04 June at the PulseRated.com and SKY channel 0155.

The track will get its first play on Hot Trax show (hear it play out for the first time on Hot Trax with Lexi Jade,

(18/05/06):

Dear People. For the last month and a half Last Nation have been locked away in the studio rehearsing and writing new material.

You can check out one of the new songs Burger on Myspace.com/thelastnation.

Other news include Last Nation writing music for MTV video commercial (check music section) as well as taking part in musical

pitching for Guinness and Talk Talk tv advert campaigns.

We have also recently added new photos from our last tour of Japan (check pix section).

The band are set to play the battle of the bands competition at Covent Garden on the 21st of May.

So see you all there (the entrance is free).

(22/03/06):

A lot has happened since the last update with a 2 week blitz of Japan now complete Last Nation are now back in the land of

Blighty. During the tour of Japan the band played a total of 11 gigs as well as several jams with some of the talented musicians

of Tokyo.
We now have a great selection of new music from Japan and would like to mention a few of our favourites which we have been

playing during and since returning from Tokyo:

Candy drops, Zombie eat Panda, Wa-gom, Dirtrucks, Bulimia,Alpret Nirot,B.B.P , Anima, RWND,Cookai as well as our previous favs

The Rare and the infamous Junkenstein.(Some are in Japanese so unfortunately unable to mention, sorry to those bands but you know

we love you anyway!!)

We have seen a great deal of talented bands in Japan and met a great deal of cool people and of course drunk a great deal!

(Detox operations are now underway!) The band are now set to hit the recording studio next weekend to start recording new song

"Burger" which was created in the rehearsal studio of Meidaimae (West Tokyo).

The band are looking to be included in the next Japanese compilation album from Outbreak Records in July, so look out for that in

the coming months and who knows if things work out another tour to Japan may also happen but for now the band are set to record

and start gigging in the UK again with the next two dates mid April in London (see gig section for details).

For now enjoy the spring and get your butt down to our next gigs as the Kolosov is yet to be seen in the UK but if it is anywhere

near as potent as it was in Japan it cannot be missed!

(12.02.06):

The Betsey Trotwood gig on the 6th of February again showed that the new material is going down well amongst even the toughest

London crowds which all goes well for the upcoming shows in Tokyo.

It is now just over 2 weeks and a couple of rehearsals before the band fly out but the feeling is that we are more than prepared

for the upcoming tour and again looking forward to reacquainting ourselves with the amazing city of Tokyo and catching up with

old friends.

The band has recently received radio play in Tokyo through I-Morley: Copy the link to hear Marie played! Sorry but it is in

Japanese so can’t really tell what they are saying!

So come down to the Dublin Castle on Monday the 20th February to catch the band before we head to the land of the rising sun.

Should be a good night at a great little venue in our hometown of Camden. Our drummer Tedd has returned from the USA to make

the gig, now if that isn’t dedication nothing is!!

Look out for loads of news and pictures in March when we return from Japan and a new single, which is due to be plugged in

April/May through Rush Release!

For now though enjoy the lovely winter weather and get down to the Dublin Castle (nearest tube is Camden Town on

the Northern Line)

(22.01.06)After a more sedate start to the year for Last Nation rehearsing and playing a couple of low key gigs the year burst

into life!

Liverpool and possibly England’s most famous venue “The Cavern” was packed to the rafters with genuine music fans of all ages

eager to enjoy the entertainment and enjoy it they did!!

It was great to see a crowd so lively and so close to the stage and a venue buzzing with life, it was truly a great night

to be part of. The crowd favourites were definitely new number “Bitter Taste”, “Hate” and “Disco Fever” which all went down

a storm the latter including a call and answer with the more brash members of the audience. Truly a great sight to witness

skinheads singing “Disco Fever” in manly falsetto!!

Other highlights included some of the local scenery, suffice to say some of the Liverpool ladies do not feel the cold and

certainly aren’t afraid to bear a little flesh for the lads!!

The star of the night was definitely Tedd who drove near on 500 miles including a slight detour to Hull, we all blamed

the joke session that got out of hand and disturbed our concentration, that and the fog which made seeing more than 5 metres

ahead near on impossible.

Next up for Last Nation is a hometown gig at Betsey Trotwood, on Monday 6th of February so be there or be boring.

With a capacity of 60 it should be a nice intimate affair.

(06.01.06) Happy New Year to all out there!

Last Nation are set to kick 2006 off with a wintery blast at the Bull and Gate on Monday 09th January in Kentish Town

(nearest tube Kentish Town Rd on the Northern Line). The band share the bill with Free Minds and Pocketwave (the later

describing themselves as 'the saviours of rock n roll') so should be one not to miss! Doors open from 8pm with the band

looking to unleash a new track previously unheard on 'Art of Seduction' CD. We will also have some CD's available to those

who brave the cold.

It will be the second gig with new drummer Tedd so for those who can't make it look out in the pics section for updated photos!

The band are hard out rehearsing for the Cavern gig later in the month which should be a great show at the spiritual birth

place of the Beatles.

As previously mentioned the band will be re-recording 'Hate' which should be completed in the next 2 weeks.

A live version of the track plus interview with the band can be found on Japanese web site via the following link:

http://www.borderlessaudio.net/pickup/

The gig was filmed at the Outbreak Club in Tokyo on our previous tour of Japan. Very strange interview indeed,

probably the Cheech & Chong of Japan!!

Well that's all for now so hopefully see you at Bull & Gate gig and if not in February sometime.

(16/12/05)Last Nation are pleased to announce new drummer Tedd "sped" Longmate who has recently joined the ranks.

Tedd had his debut gig at the Lark in the Park gig and the band were all pleased with how it went and looking

forward to a big gig in the new year at the famous "Bull and Gate" to kick start 2006.The final gig date for

the Japan tour is to be at Otsuka Red Zone and will complete the 10-date tour.

The band have also been writing new material for the tour and are also looking to record

alternative versions of some previously recorded material which should be available on the web in the New Year so

keep an eye out for that! All that's left to say is have a great Xmas and New Year and see you all

in 2006 "the year of Last Nation!!"

(18/11/05)Last Nation have almost finalised their third tour of Japan which will happen in March 2006.Gig dates will be posted

on the web in the coming weeks, but once again it will be a 10 date tour.

The band are currently in talks with UK national pluggers to promote an upcoming EP in the new year.

Finally don't forget to check Last Nation at the Cargo showcase gig on the 29th of November.
